  • Valence : Internal Experiment Environment

Once a quarter an art director would have the opportunity to lead a team of designers, production artists, and programmers to develop an edition of stories, experiments or any other output based on a self-designed theme. With this case, I concentrated on a phrase I read regarding punctuation and existential consideration -- "that that is is." As the edition's art director, I had the opportunity to lead the theme with a visual port to the other exercises. This is a snapshot of something that exists as it is.

  • Microsoft X-Clippy

Designed storyboards based on scripts and creative direction provided by an outside vendor; developed and illustrated most characters and backgrounds; collaborated with a small team of illustrators and animators for the three comedic shorts and the game.

    Animation

Each story delivered at intervals for a prolonged campaign ending with a fun game.

    Game

The game expands the characters from the first story into an interactive confrontation. The goal is to pin Clippy to the wall. I cannot take credit for this project as it was art directed and developed by another team while maintaining the story brand; I thought this would be a fun piece to include and experience.

  • CosmoGirl Site Pitch

This concept shot for the then-blue sky development. Each square or block of squares would be a separate dynamic content to present an interactive poll, articles, advertisement, promotions, and other content edited by the site editor's through a custom built content management tool. The idea was inspired by the magazine layout and a reflection of an interactive space.

  • Sony Content Hub Online Pitch

Success with the other Sony projects, we were asked to develop their ecommerce site. To get the pitch in a mood, I provided an illustration for the deck cover.
